2016 Townsend Rotary Fall Fest A Huge Success

Despite a horrendous hail storm on Saturday and frequent rain showers on both Saturday and Sunday, the 2016 Townsend Rotary Fall Fest was a huge success.

Nearly one hundred vendors, a tremendous music lineup and Fall Fest events such as the Show and Shine Car Show, Veteran's Memorial Service, Brat eating contest, Samuel Adams Regional Stein Hoisting contest and the annual Bayern keg tapping brought out thousands of attendees to the Fall Fest.

This year's Fall Fest had major changes with a bigger stage, better sound system, jumbo tron, and a different layout to the Fall Fest grounds. Everyone liked the changes and Townsend Rotary got a huge "Thumbs-up" to the changes.

On Saturday a horrendous hail storm hit with very heavy winds. Several of the vendors booths were destroyed. But despite the storm the crowd regrouped and Saturday afternoon and evening was heavily attended.

Perhaps the most suprising success of the event was the Car Show.  Over 220 entrants brought their beautiful vehicles out in overcast skies and a rainy afternoon. As always, the show was a huge success.
