Townsend Fall Fest is pleased to announce we have received a $15,000 grant from the Montana Department of Tourism and Business Development.
On Wednesday May 22 we received notification that Townsend Fall Fest had been awarded the $15,000 grant. The award consists of $10,000 for advertising (print, television, radio and social media campaign) and $5000 for providing amenities for Fall Fest attendees.
Michelle Cushman, Tourism Grant Program Manager, stated “Partnerships such as this are key to strengthening Montana’s tourism and recreation industry. Events supported through the Tourism Grant Program attract visitors, enhance attendance and increase economic revenues for your community.”
Watson’s Irrigation and the Rotary Club of Townsend are proud to announce the winners of the 2018 Fall Fest Bale Decorating Contest. First Place and a $500 prize goes to Rocky Mountain Supply for its “God Bless Ameri-Straw” entry.
Second Place and a $300 prize goes to Dave and Kay Beggins at 56 Baldy View Lane for their double entry of “Charity Dillon –The Old Woman’s ‘Hay’ Grave” and “Old McDonald’s Haunted ‘Hay’ Bale”.
In Townsend, starting Friday, October 5th you will begin seeing 10x10 squares of pavement on South Pine and B streets and grass in Heritage Park magically transform into boutiques, furniture stores, clothing shops, art galleries and cafés. They will be open for business Saturday from 10am-6pm and Sunday 10am-5pm. Some will be open Friday night when Fall Fest kicks off with world-famous brats, Fall Fest specialty micro brews and live bands.
